Is the Switch 2 jailbroken yet? Research / proof of concept
There is a software-only Switch 2 jailbreak at the research / proof-of-concept stage: ns2jb by pepsipu (Sammy Hajhamid), published Oct 22, 2026. It was demonstrated on firmware 23.0.1, using a bug in the SmileBASIC 4 app (already delisted from the eShop). It is tethered: it doesn't work on the console alone and is gone after a reboot. It is NOT CFW, has no kernel access, and there is no Switch 2 modchip. Everything is still a proof of concept: there is no safe, recommended method.
- Type: software (userland + sysmodule fs), tethered, prova de conceito
- CFW: no
- Kernel access: no
- Modchip: no
