DEMO: Half-Life 2 shown running on Switch 2 by byizmysh
Category: DEMO / proof of concept, not independently verified. This is not a release. Developer byizmysh (@byizmysh), the same one behind the DOOM demo, posted on X on Oct 24, 2026 a video of about 4 minutes called 'Welcome to City 17', made by himself. In a follow-up post he wrote that he 'built HL2 in BASIC, just like DOOM'. He did not explain how.
Context
Nothing changed in the jailbreak status: it is still research / proof of concept on firmware 23.0.1, tethered (depends on a computer and is gone after a reboot), with no kernel access and no CFW. The author's account is new, only a few months old, and everything comes only from what he posted himself. See also the DOOM demo, already on the site.
