SebaaMG releases ns2jb-modloader, an experimental mod loader for Switch 2 that works on top of ns2jb
On Nov 3, 2026, developer SebaaMG published ns2jb-modloader, a loader for mods (fan-made modifications) on Switch 2. It works on top of ns2jb, the SmileBASIC 4 flaw, and was tested on firmware 23.0.1 with a regular microSD card. It loads mods from the microSD that replace game files (RomFS, such as models, textures and data) and game code (ExeFS). Mods are organized per game, in the same folder layout used on Switch 1 with Atmosphère, and you can have mods for several games at once. It is tethered: the effect lasts only until the console restarts, and after that it has to be loaded again. Version 0.3.1, from the same day, fixed code mods in games with an installed update and now warns when a patch is not applied.

Context
The README points to the ns2jb version maintained by kurumuz and credits pepsipu and kurumuz. It is not a CFW (a modified system installed on the console): nothing stays installed after a restart, and the loader has no cheats or plugins. According to the README, some older Switch 1 code mods may need updates for games that moved from 32 to 64 bits, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and use with microSD Express has not been tested yet. In the 0.3.1 release notes, the author says it was tested with three games on a real Switch 2 and that a warning shown when ns2jb shuts down is still under investigation. It is an experimental tool. Switch2Unlock does not provide games, keys or firmware, and mods should only be used with original games. This site does not publish step-by-step guides or download links.
