There is still no safe, recommended method to unlock the Switch 2. Everything is a proof of concept, with a risk of brick and ban.

byizmysh releases Super File Bros. 0.1.0, a file manager for Switch 2 via ns2jb

On Oct 30, 2026, developer byizmysh, author of IZ2S and IZDOOM, published version 0.1.0 of Super File Bros. on GitHub, a file manager for the Switch 2. It runs on a computer (Windows, macOS or Linux) and connects to an active ns2jb session. According to the README, you can browse the console's storage and the microSD Express card, download files and folders (folders as ZIP), upload, rename and delete files on the SD card, and open a read-only FTP export (a way to access files over the network). The author says support for IZ2S, his panel, is coming in the next few days.

Context

Warning from the author himself: modifying, corrupting or deleting files can have unexpected consequences, including later on, such as losing screenshots, installed content, saves or access to games and apps. Deleting a folder is permanent and removes everything inside it. It is still tethered, meaning it depends on a computer that stays on, and the session is gone when the console restarts. It runs in userland, like a normal app, with no kernel and no CFW (modified system). ns2jb works on firmware 23.0.1. Research and proof of concept, with a risk of brick and ban.
