ravensclawx shows Zelda: Twilight Princess running on Switch 2, as a proof of concept
On Oct 28, 2026, developer ravensclawx, author of HBLauncher, posted on X an image and then a short video of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess running, according to him, "natively" on the Switch 2. He says it is still userland, meaning it runs like a normal app, without system-level access. The same day, he showed Animal Crossing ("the Switch 2 ports have begun") and DOOM in short videos. At that point, there was no code and no release.
Update (Oct 29, 2026): ravensclawx published on GitHub the source code of the Twilight Princess port for HBLauncher, based on the Dusklight project, and also the Animal Crossing one. Using it requires the user's own copy of the game's GameCube disc and building from source code; no game files, keys or ready-made programs are included. The author calls the ports experimental. See the news on the rewritten HBLauncher.

Context
Developer byizmysh, author of IZ2S and IZDOOM, questioned whether it is native: he asked for the source code, or at least documentation showing which system calls would be needed to reproduce it natively, and said the same goes for the Twilight Princess image. About DOOM, he asked whether the audio uses the console's native functions or streaming. As of Oct 28, ravensclawx had not published code or documentation. It is only a demonstration by the author: research and proof of concept, with no kernel and no CFW (modified system), with a risk of brick and ban. See also his earlier Super Mario 64 demo.
